My motherboard does not recognize the NVME M.2 drive I bought.

CPU: AMD RYZEN 7 3700X 8-Core 3.6 GHz (4.4 GHz Max Boost) Socket AM4 65W 100-10000007

Motherboard: ASUS AMD AM4 ROG Strix X570-E Gaming ATX Motherboard with PCIe 4.0 Ryzen Ready


M.2 drive: Silicon Power 256GB - NVMe M.2 2280 PCIe Gen3 x4 TLC R/W up to 3,100/1,100 MB/s

The motherboard manual say that it has:

The motherboard has:

x1 : M.2 Socket 3 with M Key, Type 2242,2260,2280,22110 storage device support (PCIE 4.0 x 4)

x1 : M.2 Socket 3 with M Key, Type 2242,2260,2280,22110 storage device support (PCIE 3.0 x 4)

Also:

For 3rd Generation AMD Rythen processors, the M.2 socket 3 PCIe 4.0 x 4 mode and SATA mode M Key design and type 2242/2260/2280/22110 storage devices.

Make sure the M.2 SSD was installed properly.
Are you trying to install Windows into it?

Windows installation does not see the M.2 SSD?
