Is my MOBO starting to fail?

I don't mean to sound dramatic but for the past few months whenever I boot up my PC my time would never update. I would have to manually sync my time with the internet. Is my CMOS battery dead? My MOBO is going on 7 years now so is it maybe time to upgrade?

I would try replacing the CMOS battery first.
