Is my Motherboard bottlenecking my PC?

Since upgrading my CPU to AMD FX-8350 I have noticed a performance drop in overall gameplay and FPS.

Fallout4, CS:GO, Total War:Attila have not got any better.

Build : MSI GTX 970 4GB
FX-8350 4.0.GHz (used to have amd phenom ii x4 3.2GHz
M5A87 ASUS AM3
1TB HDD
12 GB RAM

I have read a few times that I'd be better going with intel...

Any conclusions or ideas?

No, your mobo is fine. In general, a motherboard cannot bottleneck.

How are your temps.

Mobo: 23c
