Is my motherboard compatible with a Thunderbolt PCI-e card?

I have an MSI X79A-GD45 Plus motherboard.

I would like to utilize a thunderbolt card for my audio interface, but I am unsure of which thunderbolt card is compatible with my motherboard.

There are not very many card options, but are there others out there who have successfully added on Thunderbolt for this board?

I don't believe that a thunderbolt card will work with that motherboard. The X79 chipset does not have thunderbolt support and all the cards I am aware of require a chipset which supports thunderbolt.
