Today i got a new mobo for my pc, since my old one died. I got it, installed it into my system and after powering it on,surprise, the DRAM debug led was on.
What i tryed:
- try only a stick of ram and both swapped, in the correct spots
-reseting the bios
-removing and adding the cpu back into the socket
-removing the gpu completley
Nothing did the trick.
Also i tryed to update the bios using bios flashback but no result.(The flashing led dont even starts flashing)
A weird behaviour i found was the fact that the RGB from the mobo starts while the mobo is plugged in
My system:
-R7 3700x
- 2*16gb 3600MHh cl18 hyperx ram
-Radeon 550 2gb
-seasonic 650 w psu
- The motherboard is an Asus x570 tuf gaming pro wifi

Solution
All RAM modules are not the same - with or without RGB.

RGB may be lighting up only because the LED's happen to be getting power via the slot. Other components of the RAM module may not be getting the necessary power so the RAM does not work.

That is why manufacturers provide listings of supported RAM. RAM that will work.

(Along with QVL's for CPUs, and other components for that matter.)

Lots of differences and you do need to install compatible RAM modules. And perhaps do some configuration.

It sounds like it is a doa unfortunately the bios chip sounds dead

This motherboard?

https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/...E18438_TUF_GAMING_X570-PRO_WIFI_II_UM_WEB.pdf

Do verifiy that I found the correct User Manual.

Double check that the RAM modules are supported by the motherboard.

Reference physically numbered Page vii (Memory) and also visit the Asus webite and check the QVL (Qualified Vendors Lists).

Also use the Manual to double check all connections, cards, and jumpers.

How old is the PSU? History of heavy gaming use. What happened to the original/old motherboard?

this is the mobo i have : https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-Components/Motherboards/TUF-Gaming/TUF-GAMING-X570-PRO-WI-FI/

The ram doesnt appear on the compatibility list unfortunatley, but maybe that document is too old or smth.

The psu is 6 moths old and it was lightly used (i mean i never used more than 150w).

The old motherboard just died, and the RMA declared it unfixable. A short history of the old motherboard's issue. I was pressing the power button, and it started to work in like 1 -3 hours after (it worked fine while it was on tho).

Reference" "The ram doesnt appear on the compatibility list unfortunatley, but maybe that document is too old or smth. "

And the DRAM debug led is on.....

From the UM:

19. Q-LEDs
The Q-LEDs check key components (CPU, DRAM, VGA, and booting devices) during
the motherboard booting process. If an error is found, the critical component’s LED
stays lit up until the problem is solved.

The RAM may not be compatible or it could be faulty.

Check the Asus website QVL and/or their FAQ's Forums...

You can also check RAM manufacturer websites for compatibility but the motherboard's manufacturer has the final word.

Confirm that the RAM is compatible and correctly installed and configured.

The my ram is not on the compatibility list, but they dont have any rgb or funky things, so i dont see why they shouldnt work.

Also as i mentioned in the initial post , the RGB leds come on when i turn on the PSU and they stay on, and also the BIOS flashback function doesnt seem to work , and thouse 2 thinks look "kinda sus".
