Is my motherboard faulty?

Recently had an issue where I am no longer getting a display through my monitor (i.e "No Signal") via the graphics card. The motherboard in question is a ASUS Maximus VII Ranger. I'll go through steps already taken as precise/concise as possible:

  • - Switched out the current graphics card (Aorus GTX 1080 TI) with a spare GPU (MSI GTX 980 TI) and still same problem
    - Changed the current display port cable with another one for both graphics cards and still same problem
    - Switched both graphics card(s) from the PCIe 3.0 x16 to the PCIe 3.0 x8 slot and still same issue
    - Brought computer to a repair shop and they said it was the PSU, bought new PSU and they tested both graphics cards with new PSU and still same issue
    - Repair shop said that an older PCIe x8 GPU card works in the PCIe 3.0 x16 slot?
    - Repair shop says it's very likely the PCI slots are broken and need replacement.
    - Bring computer home, update the BIOS to latest version and re-try all the steps above and still same issue
    - Use HDMI cable on both graphics cards, still same issue
    - Use HDMI cable on the motherboard onboard HDMI slot, works fine.

Given all this information, is it safe to say that the motherboard is faulty? What I find weird is how an older GPU works but the newer ones don't. I wanted to check here before trying to find a replacement board just in case it may be something that needs to be changed elsewhere (BIOS etc)

If I need a replacement, can anyone advise where I can buy a Maximus VII Ranger 1150 socket motherboard? (I live in the EU). I've checked Scan/Overclockers/Amazon and neither are selling 1150 socket full ATX boards, only micro ones.

Thanks!

Using a 'Acer Predator XB271HUbmiprz', the Display Port cable runs directly from the monitor to the GPU, had no issues running the GPU and Monitor before this particular issue happened.

Yep running it at 144hz, didn't overclock it. The monitor itself is fine, I'm currently using it now running a HDMI from the monitor to the motherboard HDMI slot. It seems like the PCI slots on the motherboard aren't working at all as the USB 3.0 card I have install isn't working whereas previously it also was.

Anyone else take a stab at what this could potentially be? I have ordered a new Micro ATX board so I'm hoping it resolves it but am I right in saying this shouldn't be the GPU? Both GPU's didn't work in both PCIe 3.0 slots of the Motherboard and when the GPU's were in the motherboard they were powering on normally (fans spinning, RGB lights working etc)

New motherboard arrived today and GPU is working fine now, so if someone comes across this thread and you've exhausted most options like I have, it's very likely your motherboard is faulty
