Is my motherboard fried? No fans, noise, LEDS after PSU Upgrade

Hello everyone, I decided to start upgrading my PC, and bought a new GTX 1070 GPU. I decided to also purchase a new PSU while I was at it. I purchased a EVGA Supernova G3 1000w Gold PSU, upgrading from a Corsair CX 750m (green label). I have a Gigabyte GA-H87M-D3H Micro ATX motherboard, 16 gigs of G.Skill DDR3 Sniper ram, Intel Xeon CPU. My computer is three years old.

I unplugged everything, took out the old PSU and plugged in the new. Everything fit, PCPartPicker said everything was compatible. I thought everything was dandy until I pressed the power button and literally nothing happened.

It's like I don't even have the PSU plugged in. Literally nothing happens. No fans, noise, or LEDs. I did a few tests, I tested both old and new PSU with one of those little testers, and they worked great. I tried taking out one stick of RAM. I took out the GPU. I made sure everything was correctly plugged in, such as the CPU plug in the correct socket as well as the CPU fan. MOBO plug was in all the way. The case power button plugs are all in correctly. My PSU switch on the back was on.

Last ditch effort I tried breadboarding the motherboard, with only the CPU, one stick of RAM, and my power supply plugged in. I tried to short the power switch but nothing happened.

I also tried plugging in my old PSU and it would not boot, despite working literally hours before. It's so bizarre, I'm beginning to worry I might have shorted my motherboard during the upgrade. I had the PC on a hard plastic desk but I was standing on carpet. I was sure to ground myself but perhaps I was not thorough enough. Am I missing another test? Thanks in advance!

Make sure the main board is not shorting (touching the case).
Do you smell any burning? Take a magnifying glass and look around the motherboard for any burnt spots.

Are you SURE that all the connections are good? Sorry but I have to ask, I've done it before.
