Question Is my MSI dying ?

My MSI GL75-9SD laptop is having a hard time... It won't turn on normally, it only does for a second and then turns off or doesn't turn on at all. Sometimes, there's a miracle, it does turn on and somehow runs smoothly ?

It's been doing this more and more these last days and weeks so thought I'd investigate and find the problem myself. What I know is that it's not coming from the battery nor the supply. Doesn't seem to be the RAM either. So I'm thinking it could be the motherboard, but problem : the fans are screwed on top of it and one screw is stripped so I can't do it...

I don't know much about hardware, so I'm coming here to ask : what should I check or do next ? Was I heading in the right direction ? Is there another way to know if it comes from the motherboard ?

How the inside of my laptop looks like : View: https://imgur.com/a/UvQNq2R

EDIT : uhm... so I put the cover back on cuz I wanted to try and turn it on. It did turn on on a 2nd try but the screen was black ? The keyboard was not responding ? What ls happening 💀

I would say you should first look into putting new thermal paste on the processor.
Also, if it's from what I said, it would be good for your next move to be to replace the mechanical disk with an SSD.

It sounds like it's been cooking for a while. When it does work have you ever looked at the temps.

It sounds like it was a small issue that just grew to the point your at now,

I bet the heats sinks are clogged with a blanket of hair and dust.

Even if the screw to the fan/heatsink is stripped take a can of compressed air and from the outside where the heatsink pushes the air out blow the can of compressed air backwards INTO the heatsink so the dust will be able to be removed with tweezers under the fan.

But it also can be to late if it now needs a re-ball solder flow.

I can't replace with a new SSD. There's a sort of fake space for it but with no connection to actually put one. May I ask how it would help tho ?
I'll def go on the processor route once I can access it. Thx.

Yeah wish I could open them instead but I'll do this ig thx !

The mechanical disk you have (seagate) usually gives problems and the main one of them is raising temperatures. If your problem is solved with cleaning and thermal paste, I would suggest you get a ssd kioxia which is from Toshiba and has an aluminum case and not plastic like all the others (they are the only disks that do not heat up in laptops) and I say this because the specific one (Seagate) is located near the processors. If the problem you have is not solved then the next thing you look at is the bios you have (if you have not tampered with it)
