Brand new sapphire 6950 gives no signal to monitor. just blank black screen with "no signal" notation for a few seconds. Put it in 2 year old system that runs fine with a 4870(or 2 in xfire).
Troubleshooting steps
1) used diff monitor
2) used the other DVI port on card
3) tried with HDMI cable instead of DVI
4) put card in other PCI-E x16 slot on MB
5) tried 2 diff 6 pin PCI-E power cables from PSU.
None of that helps. Never get even a splash screen, can't see bios.
When i put old card back in all is well. like it never left.
Is the card DOA, or do i need to try something else?
