Is my PC build any good? Im also getting a GTX 970.
Motherboard - Asus z-97A
Power supply - sentry 750w
CPU- i5-44440s 2.8ghz
Chasis-NZXT phantom
4gb ddr3 ram

The GTX 970 will definitely kick it into high end gaming status, but the CPU could use an OC (make sure you use an adequate cooler), and the PSU is a bit more wattage than you need for the GPU you're getting. It's brand appears to be misspelled too. Did you mean Sentey? If so, it's probably good enough to run two 970s in SLI, if you want to go that route eventually. Also, I concur, you need at least 8GB RAM minimum for gaming nowadays.

Okay thank you. I did misspell sentey xD sorry I don't look over what I have written so I look like a dumb. But yes I got my power supply for 30$ and I got it BC it was a steal for the price. And does it matter what kind of ram like brand I get? Thank you guys for the quick replies and help Im new to building and its my first build.

Yes Frag Maniac is right don't use the stock cooler, pay to get a better CPU cooler like a 212 evo, arctic freezer etc

8gb Of ram is needed right now to play games without bottlenecking , 16gb is recommended long term though for future proofing as DX12 may use more of it.

I forgot to say that I have 3 150mm fans and 1 200mm fans with space for 2 more 200mm and may you guys send me links to what ram and coolers I should get. Im not trying to spend alot of money but if you guys really recommend it I will.

Both of these CPU coolers give good value to performace, the best ones come from Noctua but they are pricey

Arctic Freezer rev 2 :

Evo 212:

You only really need them with your CPU if you plan to Overclock

Okay so now my question is who do I Overclock my PC? And can you send me links to ram you suggest?

I think the multipliers are locked on that CPU
You may be able to up the reference clock and FSB though in the motherboard bios

16gb ram kit

Ohhh god bless idk what that even means but I will figure it out. Thank you to every one that has helped this noob.

Just make sure you match frequency (for example 1600 with 1600), and try to come as close as possible on timings. On timings, just try to match the first one (CAS). Reason being the system will default to the module that is slowest. I also recommend you match capacity. The closer the match, the smoother it will run in dual channel.
