Is my PC outdated?

I'm wondering if my PC is outdated and either should I just start a new build, which I have started researching or just upgrade the GPU. I'm thinking about upgrading my GPU to a GTX 980. This system is about 3+ years old.
Specs:
CPU: Core i5 3350P with Corsair water cooling
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-B75M-HD3
GPU: GTX 660
RAM: 8.00 GB DDR2
PSU: 500w (I don't even know the brand, it doesn't have a label I bought this PC pre built)
Storage: 1TB of HDD

You could upgrade a few parts if you wanted and still use that power supply. Looking at a gtx 960. Could go ddr3 ram since its not to expensive. add a SSD though, get a ssd hands down
