Is my power supply okay to use?

My current power supply has an 8 pin cpu connector (8 total), however my motherboard requires an 8+4pin, is it okay to use? My motherboard is the MSI Gaming M7 Z270 & My PSU is the EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G3, 80 Plus Gold 650W. Thank you to any whom may answer.

Fine just leave the 4 pin disconnected .

Its auxiliary for heavy overclocking & is optional
