Question Is my power suppy turning off GPU?

Hello. Recently I've started having issues with my monitor randomly losing signal while gaming. The PC would continue to run, I would hear the sound, the game I was playing would continue running, but the monitor would just go black. If I unplugged it from the GPU (GTX 970) and plugged it direcly, the screen would come back on just fine. I figured it was an issue with the GPU so I brought it over to the local PC shop and upon testing it, they concluded that everything was fine with it. They suspected it might be a problem with the 8 pin cable so they gave me a new one. The problem however, continued. Could this be a power supply problem? My power supply is Hyper S 600W.

Any help into what this could be would be greatly appreciated as the stores here charge quite a bit just to have a PC examined for issues and to determine the problem. Thanks in advance!

do you have any one around you that could lend you a psu for test and made sure gpu is well seated in motherboard slot .
