Is my PSU compatible with my GPU?

Hey guys, noob question;

Will I be able to power a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 G1 Gaming (which apparently requires 1 x 6 Pin and 1 x 8 Pin connector) with a Corsair RM550x?

Apparently the Corsair RM550x only has one 6+2 Pin "PCIe" connector (the PSU I used in the past had 2 x 6+2 Pin connectors so this was never an issue for me)...

Will I be able to just use one of the 6 Pin "Peripheral / SATA" connectors along with the 6+2 Pin "PCIe" connector?

Solution
The Corsair RM550x has a single PCI-E modular cable that has two (6+2)-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors daisy chained on it.

Thanks! I spent a lot of time researching for the perfect PSU (though apparently not enough :lol:).

Ahhh I see! Now you're speaking my language, that makes sense. Thank you.

Edit: If you're still reading... Would it be fine to overclock the GPU on such a cable? Since it will only be drawing power from the single 8 Pin socket?

Awesome, can't wait to start putting it all together. Thanks again.
