I'm thinking of buying an i7 8700k but I just wanted to know if Corsair 16GB 2400mhz (CMK16GX4M2A2400C14) is compatible. Thanks

Thanks for the fast reply but I already own the ram and I just wanted to make sure they work together.

It's more to do with the MoBo than the CPU I think. You can check compatability on the MoBo manufacturers website but I think it's mainly just Ryzen that was fussy. Other than that 2400MHz is fine unless you want all bases covered and I dunno if looks are important to you. I will say though here my 3000 MHz kit of Vengeance LED RAM is only about £15 more expensive than standard vengeance 2400. (£170-£155)

Do you think that the Asus TUF Z370 Pro Gaming will be compatible? Plus I don't want to have to spend more money on ram. Thanks.

I believe this is it?

Compatibility?
Intel platform usually have extremely less issue with RAM compatibility, even for RAM kits not on the mobo compatibility list.
You should not see any problems almost with any kits out there, as long as it is still DDR4 desktop RAM kit.

Ryzen 1xxx has some issue and Ryzen 2xxx has less issue.

I have a Ryzen APU currently and there's hardly any issues. Just go with a known brand and you're good now really.

I believe It is but its 2x8 thanks for the help.
