is my RAM usage OK?

hello again guys!
once again..i MIGHT have a noobish question,,,hehe

i have 8GB RAM

at idle state my RAM usage is 2.9GB

is this normal?
i have windows 10 and most of it is used by something called system and compressed memory...

...i was thinking should i downgrade to win 7 ?

what do u guys suggest?

dude...2.9 is roughly about 3..ok?
i HAD 4GB ram in my system BEFORE...running the SAME OS(win 10) it used to eat 1.9GB RAM which was fair enough..



BUT now i have 8GB ram and now my system is eating wayyyyy higher (3.1GB right now)

i also have a old dell with 4GB ram running win10 but it consumes 1.9GB...whats wrong?

I use 16% of my 16gb with just my browser open. 2.56GB.
Yours looks normal.
I know exactly what 2.9 is OK

what is the major thing that consumes MUCH of ur RAM? (aside from chrome or fire fox)

my 132MB ram is consumed by something called antimalware service exacutable
and 122MB by system and compressed memory

any idea what they r?
