Is my rig okay?

I want to build the a gaming pc and cause I don't really have a decent budget the only thing I really wanted to splash out on was a GPU which I haven't done yet, my aim is to be able to play modern games on roughly low medium settings smoothly. So what would you recommend. My build so far is

CPU: AMD A6-6400k
MOBO: ASUS A88XM-A
RAM: Kingston 4GB
Memory: Toshiba 300gb slave and an 80gb main donated from my brother.
PSU: 350w stock with case
OS: Windows 8 embedded...I get it free as a college student in the uk

I would not build a gaming machine I intended to add a good GPU to around an APU. (Unless the APU is the GPU you are 'splashing out' on)

What is your budget and what parts do you have already?
