hello guys,
please somebody help me, my rtx 3070 is showing artifact, should i replace it?
the problem occurs when im update my win 10 (bluetooth driver), after restart i'm opening rivatuner (i want to change osd colour)
then the artifact appears, after that i minimize rivatuner, running port royal benchmark, my system is crash in loading screen & showing some artifact too, i need to force restart my pc because it stuck on loading screen

after restart my system is running normally again, no artifact in rivatuner, port royal benchmark & strest test with no problem, playing gta v for 3 hours without problem

is it my gpu going bad or just a software problem?,
i've contacted store where i purchased for RMA, but because this gpu shortage problem he don't know for how long i must wait for a replacement.

my spec
ryzen 5 5600x
rtx 3070 (gpu temp when benchmark max 68° gaming max 60°C)
asrock b550m pro4
16gb ddr4 3600mhz
650w enermax psu gold

port royal artifact

Could be a display driver conflict with Rivatuner. A 3 hr problem free gaming session would lead me to believe the GPU hardware is ok.

thanks for reply buddy, im really hope its just a driver issue, nvidia release new driver today, i will try install it & report the update, thanks a lot for your help
sorry i've a noob question here " is artifact always a sign of bad or failure gpu, or its a common issue sometimes artifact happen on pc?
im still new on this thing, should i worried thing like artifact happen on my pc?

when you minimized Rivatuner, artifacts disappeared. I might be related to drivers and rivatuner. Try uninstall and reinstall your GPU driver and test it again.

thanks for reply buddy, yeah i hope it drivers or rivatuner issue, because after restart, my pc works normally with rivatuner & 3d mark port royal

Usually artifacting is a sign of too aggressive overclocking or a heat issue. Not sure which brand of 3070 you're running but since it's a relatively new card I would look at some other things like drivers, overclocking, and PSU issues before pointing to a new GPU. It's not impossible to get a bad GPU...it does happen.

im using msi ventus 3070 3x oc, i have used it for 5 months
im not good at overclocking or some thing like that, so its stock setting from factory, im using msi afterburner only to monitor fps & temp of my component

have you seen or encountered any problematic drivers causing the artifact?

from PSU side is 650w good enough for my system
1 ryzen 5 5600x
1 asrock b550m pro4 microatx
1 rtx 3070
1 hdd 4tb 7200rpm
2 ssd (1tb & 512gb)
1 nvme 256gb
2 ddr4 ram
1 cpu air cooler
7 rgb fan 8cm
2 rgb led strip

If it's all ok after a restart it's definitely software related. Be that with the new windows update/drivers updates/rivatuner itself. If the card had issues, you'd have them everytime. Have you tried posting/contacting in the rivatuner forums?
