Is my SSD dead? Cannot create partition on Unallocated Space

Hey guys! Well, yesterday I was trying to move my C drive to an SSD I had previously used on a Macbook Pro (it was working pretty neatly). Anyway, I did a system image backup and proceeded to install Windows 8 on the SSD, but for some reason, no matter how many times I formatted it, it would keep saying that it had a GPT format, and therefore Windows could not be installed there. Somehow, I managed to convert the SSD to an MBR format, which as far as I know is a compatible format for installing Windows OS's. Afterwards, I saw that the windows installation setup could indeed recognize the drive, but as an unallocated space. Since it was an unallocated space, I tried adding a new partition using the + arrow, but it would get stuck and the partition would never appear (because everytime it got stuck, I had to reboot my computer...).

Long story short, after trying a lot of times, I reinstalled Windows on my old hard drive, because I had deleted everything (lol), and I tried with the Disk Management tool, which recognized the unallocated space of the SSD, but it also got stuck when trying to create a partition.

Sooooooo do you guys think my SSD is dead? :(

Thank you!

Enable safe boot in the bios. Then follow the exact directions at the following link for a clean windows 8 installation. Follow the step by step instructions EXACTLY as outlined, being sure to delete ALL existing partitions on the drive and then installing to the unallocated space without creating a new partition. Windows will create the necessary partitions. Be sure to disconnect all other storage drives prior to installing to avoid potentially deleting wanted files by accident and so that if there are possibly boot partitions on secondary drives, that are hidden, they don't interfere with the install.

I finally got it working! I unplugged the SSD and connected it to my Mac. There, I reformatted it using Disk Utility, and now everything's working again! Thank you Darkbreeze :)
