is my system working?

so I've just finished building my first pc but don't have a cable to connect to a monitor at the moment, when it turn it on everything seems to work (CPU fan, graphics card fans, case fans) But there is no beep. should there be if I just turn the system on without a monitor? just wanting to know if everything is as should be.

ahh good, so if everything is spinning and lighting up as should do, does that mean everything is okay so far?

You will only hear a beep if you plug in a speaker to the audio header. It would look like this:

ahh you life saver, got a bit worried haha. just need an HDMI cable now it's killing me my being able to power it up properly!

The system beep might be turned off by default. You can go into the BIOS, one you have your monitor hooked up, and you can turn on/off the system beep.

Though that beep won't work unless you have a speaker either on the board itself or have a speaker that came with the computer case like how mine came with my Raidmax Orion case.
