guys im ocing my i5 2500k at 4.2 ghz and im having a temp average of 64C. max of 67C and min of 59C with h100i. so far i ran prime95 for 30mins and i think its going pretty well. im just wondering if i gave the correct vcore voltage, i set at 1.28V. is it ok with 1.28V or should i put something higher? sorry for the question, im new in Ocing. thanks in advance

Or you could increase the clockspeed. The H100i is a great cooler and since voltage is what creates heat you could try say 4.4Ghz with the 1.28v and see if it's stable. It should not increase your temps. A 2500K will do 4.5Ghz with a cheap Coolermaster Hyper 212. Your Corsair is much better than that.

Generally a 2500K will hit 4.2Ghz with stock voltage. 1.28v-1.3v is usually good for ~4.5Ghz.

My 2600K is at 4.5Ghz and 1.32v but the i7s usually need more voltage because of Hyperthreading.

i did some tweaking on the bios to see on what voltage i can use to have 4.5 and still stable after running prime95 for 20 mins. and its 1.30v! max temp of 66C and idle at 42C. i think i will be sticking with this configuration. my pc is 24/7 with net surfing and gaming.

and the h100i is configured on quiet mode! :D
