What's up with this new Chairperson Ajit, why is he so keen to take away our internet freedom?

It's not clear exactly which "freedoms" ordinary consumers lost.

Aren't we moving to the time, when we used to see movies and shows, what Cable operator used to choose for us. The consequences off Net Neutrality are pretty much the same

Because Pai is only interested in increasing the profit margins of the telecoms. So when he talks about freedoms he means the freedom for Comcast to charge you more for the same or worse service.
