Question Is newegg still reputable?

I saw a GIGABYTE WINDFORCE OC GeForce RTX 3060 12GB GDDR6 for $333. That seems low. Would this be a bad purchase?

Just like Amazon, if it's not sold by Newegg but a third party seller I consider it a potential scam. Always enable the "Sold by Newegg" switch on the top left to filter results. Then ensure it's actually sold be Newegg, shipped by Newegg on the right below the pricing information.

Well, that card ships from Hong Kong, so not exactly sitting in a Newegg facility at the moment.

The item may have arrived just fine, but not for several days, at best. You really need to watch the 3rd party sellers on Newegg and Amazon when it comes down to it.

at my local best buy, so I may go that route. It is discounted to $279 due to open box, but listed as excellent condition.

I have had 100% good luck with Best Buy, it is just their pricing isn't always in line with other retailers. That sounds like a very good deal for it only having been opened.

I also parrot the above replies about making sure it isn't a third party OR, if it is a third party they pretty much need to have 98% or better feedback IMO. I have actually had a string of bad luck with PC purchases coming from Amazon as of late. They are getting to be a little shady as far as I can see.

I agree - I am always weary of using amazon / newegg / etc. sites for that very reason. I may as well just pull the trigger on the best buy option. Thank you all for your feedback!
