Obviously we are now at a point when RAM is cheaper than is has ever been, but what will happen to the price in the next few months/years?
I have a system with 4GB RAM, which is plenty for me at the moment. However, in a few months time I will be using my PC for much more demanding stuff (I am starting a Computer Science course), so I will probably upgrade to 8GB at some time around then.
Do you expect memory to keep falling in price, or could it even go up, like HDD prices have? (I realise this is due to the floods, but I don't want to miss out on the ultra cheap memory if the deals won't be there in 6 months or so.
I would rather upgrade in a few months, as money is very tight at the moment and I don't need the extra memory right now, but if this is only a temporary fall in prices I will upgrade now.
Thanks.
