Hello , I am new to computer gaming. I have a 3570k processor , 16 gb of ram and a nvidia geforce gtx 770 graphics card. I currently am playing witcher 3 and would like to max out the settings. I cant seem to do so though. Is it because i need a better graphics card? I believe that this one is only 2gb... should i get a 980 instead?

Solution
Well the 770 does belong in the previous gen of Nvidia cards and pretty much anything than the Maxwell cards(900 series) will struggle with games that make heavy use of Gameworks-such as the Witcher 3. Upgrading your card will allow you to bump some of the settings higher while maintaining a decent fps count.
Personally I wouldn't go for a 980 unless you have found some really amazing deal on it-as far as the 900 series goes I find it to be a bad price to performance card. You can always get a 970 or save a bit more and go for a 980ti.
Well 980 cannot give you any performance difference only increase somewhat of your fps(frame per second) but i would recommend you to use your old system only.
