Question Is one RAM better than the other?

Hello All,

I have a Lenovo Ideapad Z710 running Win 8.1 with a Durian 7A1 ((U3E1) Mobo with Hyundai 8 Gb DDR3 PC3-12800 (800GHz) RAM CL-11.
It also has a Core i5-4210M processor. Giving this to my daughter so she can practice using FL Studio 20.

What I need hekp with is choosing between a G Skill Ripjawz (2x8Gb) DDR3 PC3L 12800 (1600MHz) CL=9-9-9-28

and Crucial (2x8Gb) PC#-12800 (1600MHz) CL=11

I'm leaning towards the G Skill because of the lower latency. I hope I can go from 800 to 1600MHz. Would I need to do a BIOS update? Not sure how to do that if needed.

Yes, without any doubt the G.Skill is the better kit. Lower latency and probably higher quality memory chips onboard as well.
