Hello.
I was thinking of getting a Intel Pentium G3258 up to 3.9Ghz or maybe 4.0Ghz maybe more ?but i am a bit scared of the risks of overclocking...so i need some answers and opinions...my friend told me once u overclock the CPU and after some time if you put it back to normal with no overclock it wont be the same ( slower )...is this true? Also overclocking will reduce the CPU's lifespan ?
Will i need more fans ? Or maybe a CPU Cooler ?How long could my CPU "survive" with overclock?

Thanks.

Alright there are 2 factors that will affect the lifespan of your CPU

1. Temperatures
2. Voltages

As long as your temps are under 80C when stress testing you are completely fine.
As long as your voltage is under 1.31V you are fine ^^.

If you want to be super safe anything under 1.3V shouldn't decrease lifespan.

Voltages can be found in the BIOS.
