Is possible to use DDR3 1600 MHz on 1333 MHz laptop ?!

Hello everyone

I was searching for RAM kits for my laptop, which is a Samsung NP-300, as I am planning to upgrade. My laptop specs are as follows:
CPU: i5-2450M
GPU: nVidia Optimus (Integrated)
Ram: 6 GB (4+2) DDR3L (665 MHz)

Intel shows that my CPU can support up to 16GB DDR3L 1333 MHz memory, while my laptop's MoBo can only take up to 8GB. I used CPU-Z to check my RAM, and found that the Max Bandwidth my MoBo supports is 667 MHz. I am not sure if this is what to look for or not, as my Asus Z170 Pro Gaming desktop MoBo shows 1067 MHz (I have HyperX 2133 MHz DDR4 in my build).

I used the crucial RAM detection tool, and I found that the RAM module in the link below is what they have that fits my case.

However, the frequency of the this module 1600 MHz. It is certainly much higher than the Max Bandwidth which CPU-Z shows (667 MHz). However, as I am not sure if Max Bandwidth is the parameter to look at in this case as I mentioned. Thus, I am more concerned about the CPU, which supports up to 1333 MHz of RAM only.

My question is whether my attempt of upgrading the RAM is going to work, or I am only going to waste the short money that I have. If the RAM is going to clock down from 1600 MHz, to 1333 MHz, that's fine, but I am not really ready for stability issues, as the reason why I am upgrading is to do engineering analysis work (CFD), which requires some hardware muscle.

Any thoughts guys ?!

Cheers
