Question Is processor i5 12400f better than amd ryzen 5 5600g?

Now I have pc with amd ryzen 5 5600g
Cpu: amd ryzen 5 5600g
Ram: viper steel 2X8 (16) gigabyte ddr4 3200mhz
Gpu : asus rx 5500 xt 8gb
Motherboard : Gigabyte b450 s2h
Ssd: crucial p2 512 gb m.2 nvme
Psu: 750 watt combo with case xigmatek
I want to change amd ryzen 5600g to intel i5 12400f with motherboard h610.

Is that give me better performance than ryzen or not ?

Slight edge..maybe 10 percent...in favor of Intel on a single thread benchmark.

Both have 6 cores.

The Intel does not have integrated graphics. Maybe that does not matter to you.

I doubt if I would do that upgrade due to the expense of a new motherboard for only small gains. You could easily have another opinion.

You'd be better off with a B760 or B760M board and a 13600. That is going to cost more and it's still not really worth the money spent. Performance will increase, but is it worth it?

Why do you want to upgrade anyway? Any problem? Slow games, etc?
What is your budget?
