I'm planning a build(for gaming) and want to know if the ryzen 5 2600x is overkill when paired with a Rx 570(8gb) gpu and a msi a320 VH PLUS motherboard.
(Please add any other suggestions.it would be very helpful ),
Thx

Solution
The Ryzen 5 2600x will bottleneck the rx 570 quite a bit. The 2600x would do much better with something in the 1070-1080ti range. Your pc fps will be limited to what the rx 570 is capable of. If you have the budget i would reccomend going with a 1070ti, with a ryzen 5 2600. I would say to go with the 2600 over the 2600x because it's $30 cheaper, is only about 6% slower, and will (theoretically) use less power:

I would get the 2600 and put the savings towards a better cooler so You can reach the full potential of the overclock. If you don't want to overclock then get the 2600x and you'll get a small performance boost over the stock 2600.

Right now the 2600 beats the i5 8400 in price to performance, and the 2600x is slightly better in performance but not cost.

Most folks are GPU limited; just because wealer CPUs can saturate a GTX1050 is no reason to intentionally start off cpu-limited so that you can't upgrade GPUs later...

2600/2600X will still allow good gains once a better GPU GTX2060 is installed later....(It's not like we are pondering pairing a 9900K with a GTX1030....) :)
