I figured out that I can almost get 2 RTX 2080s for price of 1 RTX 2080Ti. If I could SLI two 2080s, I would get about an 80% performance in SLI over one 2080Ti (I think). But I have also been told that many games have stopped supporting SLI, and that DX12 has very little, if no support at all for SLI. Can some highly experienced souls clarify the facts?

Now is that for 2080 or 2080Ti. The system will have 3900X with 32GB RAM. M2 SSD. Even if I could get 1440p 120hz that would be great. Could a regular 2080 do 4k 120 or even a Ti?

Ok. My next question goes like this, and if it's too much to reply that's fine, because I think it might be a big questions, but how much FPS will I lose on average from turning on ray tracing? And is ray tracing just a gimmick or is it worth it?

Yeah thats something Im not going to be able to answer, for several reasons.
I dont generally know the expected hit in performance, and I certainly cant speak for how it looks given I own an old AMD card and have never seen ray tracing in person.

Now, when you do the build, feel free to let us know how the performance changes.

Perhaps you might know this. I posted this. I don't know how well you know this stuff but you seem to know GPUs pretty well so I thought I would try
