Hi, i have old system and it has Asus ROG Commando motherboard with ICH8R south bride. It only supports SATA-2 interface. I'm thinking about getting an 120 GB SATA SSD.

Is it worth to get SSD on a SATA-2 motherboard?

Thanks in advance.

Seeing as none of the better manufacturers no longer make and sell 120GB drives, you're left with 'small and crappy'.

What IS your actual budget, and buying from where?
I live in Turkey, i think i would try to save for EVO 860 or 870 250 GB, but these are really expensive drives.

There's a much cheaper 250 GB drives but i have never heard their brand name before. Like: Patriot Burst 240 GB, Intenso TOP 256 GB and James Donkey 240 GB.

My budget is 250 TL(roughly $30).

I will try to get a decent 250 GB drive.
