Hey guys I was wondering if SSD is worth the money? I am looking to stream while gaming at ultra settings except I feel like the system would run fine with regular hdd. I guess i'm just wondering what exactly ssd will do for my rig. Here are the specs

i7 7800x
gigabyte x299 aorus ultra gaming
gtx 1080
16gb corsair vengence ddr4
1tb hd

Solution

Samsung Magician Software (that comes with it) should be able to transfer everything over, just make sure you have enough room on the SSD for everything. I have no idea on the process though as I did a full reinstall of the OS/games (steam/origin/uplay) when I got the new SSD.
MERGED QUESTION
Question from aeagan92 : "is ssd worth it?"

If you are willing to spend the money on an x299 sytem I think an SSD is absolutely worth it. An SSD improves the overall responsiveness of the pc. It may not help with framerate in games but it will improve load times quite significantly versus an HDD. I would never dream of building a sytem like that without an SSD,

What ssd would you recommend then?

After reading everything I decided on this.

:) I guess i'm spoiling myself lol. Thanks for the advice though. You guys definitely made me open my eyes to ssd.

question for you though since i never used ssd. I have that 1tb harddrive which has windows 10 installed and all my games. How exactly do I get windows and all that to transfer to ssd? Is that hard to do or is it simple? Kinda not sure how to setup the ssd.
