Is the 1070 worth it

I want to buy a 1060 but a friend told me its bad and i should get more money for a 1070 is it really worth it like how much of a difference of fps would it make in for example the witcher 3 or bf 1 on max if i get a 1060 ill get 8 more gb ram i got 8 now my cpu is i5 4460 if it mayters

i5 4460 is a good CPU and will not bottleneck a 1070, however as the 1060 can handle all games at 60+fps in 1080p and high settings, getting a 1070 is not needed unless you want to play at higher resolutions such as 4k or you just want to go ham and pay for FPS you don't need.

If you're running a 60Hz 1080p monitor, a 1070 isn't worth it.
Only get a 1070 if you have a 144Hz refresh rate display otherwise it'll be a wasted purchase.
