depends on the installed BIOS.
the 1600AF is supported at version p2.00 or better https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/B450M Pro4/index.asp#CPU
while it is called a 1600 its a refresh and basically a 2600, and needed a BIOS update on some boards to be recognized properly.

The boards been out of stock for a while which means all new ones come with the most recent bios.. I still dont understand why people think these mobos would come with 1 yr old bios.

I agree. There is no reason that any new board would be coming with an old bios revision. I looked at the bios history, and P2.00 was about 1.5yrs ago. I highly doubt Amazon has any old stock, given how horrible the supply has been, as of late. My local Microcenter had Ryzen 3000 compatible, labeled, B450 Asrock boards, within 6 months of the Zen 2 launch.
