First: Like SR-71 said, its luck of the draw. And if you wanted to go with the X99 set later then you definitely don't need to be cheap and shoot yourself in the foot with a 5820K. Might as well go with the 5930K, 6 cores with more lanes and higher clock speed for only like $30.00 more.
Second: This wasn't an AMD and Intel battle. I was informing you that just getting a chip and expecting it to OC to 5.0Ghz is ridiculous. My other attempt was to inform you that Intel has been better with their chips (not saying AMD is bad, as I have an 8350 build and a 4790K build).
Third: How about you just get an 8350, OC it and if it doesn't get to 5.0Ghz then so be it. But, since you haven't done your homework don't get pissed off if people try to help you out by recommending other possible ways to do what you are looking for.
Fourth: 5.0Ghz is able to be obtained, but the only chip for normal consumers that actually reaches 5.0Ghz with little to no effort and is not LN2 cooled is the 9590. All other chips that have reached 5.0Ghz are really good chips, which comes back to luck of the draw. And there is no guarantee you will be able to OC to 5.0Ghz on just any 8350. From what I've read and experienced in my OC'ing is that the general cap is 4.6-4.8Gh with a water loop to cool it.
