Is the Asus Maximus IX Formula Box Supposed to Be Factory-Sealed?

Hello all! I recently purchased an Asus Maximus IX Formula from an independent seller on Amazon. The board was listed as "New" however, when I received the package, the Asus ROG box (red) opened freely without having to remove a sticker/seal on the outside of the box. I was just wondering if this was normal on Asus's part or if it's possible that this box has been opened before and possibly tampered with. Also, I've contacted the seller about this, and they have avoided answering any questions regarding the factory seal. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you everyone!

If you'll be honored with a refund/replacement/warranty then you might as well try and run the system and see if there is any fault with it. To this day the boards available at my region don't have the sticker on the flap due to logistical reasons. The boxes come flat packed in containers and are then boxed/packaged here.

As far as image searches go, they don't come with the sticker since reviewers often just take an NT cutter and cut the sticker instead of removing it entirely.

The question is, why didn't you buy the board from Newegg? Amazon often has parts listed higher than other e-tailers and often you end up with dodgy sellers.
