Is this ASUS ROG STRIX RX 5700 XT Overclocked a good GPU? I can get it on sale for $430 U.S. I was also wondering if it will work good with my System. If there are any issues could you recommend a good RX 5700 XT. I like to shop on newegg, and I live in the U.S. My budget is $450 and under.

If you are going for 32gb of ram, you better get a 4x8 matched set or even better a 2x16 set of ram sticks. Don't go for 2 separate 2x8 sets.

The 5700 XT is a good GPU and should work fine with that system. I don't have any experience with that particular model though.

Also that case is not very good for airflow and cable management and in general very cheaply made, so i would go take a look at something different.

I know that the Strix and TUF series by ASUS are having issues right now. For a 5700xt, I would look at either the Gigabyte gaming model ($399) or the Sapphire Nitro ($449).

I agree with what you're saying, but is 4 x 8GB sticks more efficient than 2 x 16GB sticks? It seems like it would be, but I know the 2 x 16 is cheaper. I'll be gaming and video editing on this rig if that makes any difference.

I believe it's actually better to have the 2 16gb sticks due to it being easier on the memory controller to only have to handle 2 sticks instead of 4.

I have 3 120mm fans mounted in front, 2 120mm in top, and 1 120mm in rear. Still gives the nice clear panel. The front is completely mesh so should give pretty good airflow.

Agree with brewcrew650, Sapphire Nitro+ would be a better option or maybe the Red Devil

You know, I might hold off on getting a RX 5700 XT. I was reading about the Gigabyte and Sapphire ones you talked about, and they seem to have a lot of the same problems. I was reading through another thread on this forum and someone mentioned it being an AMD driver related issue. So, I don't think it matters what brand you get, they have the same driver problems. It's unfortunate because Tom's Hardware GPU Hierarchy 2020 scores the RX 5700 XT really good, and they're a decent price.
