[SOLVED] Is the B550 worth my time with R7 3700x?

I recently decided to purchase a new kit of ram: G.Skills Ripjaws V 16gb CL 16. With that, my question is would it be necessary to get a new motherboard such as a B450 vs B550 vs x570, for my R7 3700x given my current motherboard?

Or my other option is, will I make it until AM5 and DDR5 release?

Current Specs
-CPU: R7 3700x @4.2Mhz, 1.39 V
-GPU: RX 5700 XT Gigabyte gaming OC 8gb 2059Mhz Clock, 1750Mhz Mem clock
-RAM: DDR4-3000mhz 2x4gb CL16
-MB: MSI B350 Tomahawk
-PSU: EVGA 80+ Bronze 500W

Thanks!

Keep your current board if it's working fine.

You're sure your current board is B350? Seems like a strange pairing with a 3700X. Perhaps the original CPU was replaced?

Yes I’m sure of my current motherboard...
I agree it’s a strange pairing, but I originally started out with a R5 1600 and upgraded recently to the 3700x.

I’d say everything seems to be working fine other than my ram feeling insufficient. I play Escape From Tarkov and the game freezes often and sometimes crashes my pc when I see ram usage go above 7000mb. It makes the game unplayable at times.
