Is the B85 chipset any good on a tight budget?

I want to save as much money as possible so I am considering a B85 motherboard or H97.

Is the B85 chipset any good?

a B85 can suffice , however , most probably it will need a bios upgrade in order to run the haswell refresh cpu.! i would suggest an h97, due to out of the box compatability and the better upgradability! you dont have to pay that more anyway!
