Is the Corsair link worth it? (RMx Vs. RMi)

i was actually trying to look for why is the RMi series better than the RMx series.
And is corsair link gonna help me with anything?
what should i get?
Please someone help me before i make another stupid purchase 🙁

from what I read no its not worth it. supposedly corsair link is a pain and never works right.

I love my corsair and I got it without the link option just because of seeing so many people with issues. i just use the normally motherboard fan control to control the speeds.

is there anyway i can like lower the rpm of an RMx?
btw what is your motherboard, yes i know all motherboards has the same thing, but i'm not really sure which mobo to take, my decision for the moment GIGABYTE GA-Z170X-UD3

please ignore my idiotness. yes I have a RMx but no I cannot control its fan speeds (IDK what I was thinking). Its pretty quite on its own so I don't have to worry about its fan profile. My case fans and GPU fans hide any noise it makes. I have a amd fx8350 build so its not relevant to you but its a M5a99fx r2.0

FYI I should state I own the RMx 850 watt. overkill for my current build even with my cpu running at about 150 watts overclock.
