Is the fx 8350 that bad

I don’t want intel fanboys but people who have used it and want them to tell me if it’s good for games such as:
Rainbow six siege
Fortnite
Csgo

I have a 1060 btw
I don’t care for bottle neck 60 FPS and above is good

I’ve had people tell me it’s not good and if your on a budget get an i3 but to me they seem the same

Yeah, for those games, fx 8350 is good enough. However, if you are buying it new, Ryzen will be a better choice. Budget and country? Any owned components other than GPU?

Right now I have the a6 7400k a 500 watt psu 80+ and fm2+ mobo and 2x4 DDR3 ram don’t know make and I’m from uk

Yeah, FX series is AM3+ and I believe AM3+ MB is not cheap due to extinction. Budget on the upgrades? PSU model?

EVGA and mobos am unsure about but I think would be good am3+ mobo as I have DDR3 so it would work

Yes if your upgrading now don't go to the FX series they are not "bad" just old, and the have a lower single thread rating which in games (most older games) that aren't multi core optimized they can preform worst than an I3. So as suggested what is your budget ?

Its not that its BAD per say, its just outdated, and for the price you would pay for it (new) you can build an i3 or Ryzen 3 based system that would eat it for lunch.
