Is the GeForce 610 (1GB) powered through the PCI-E slot?

I was going to buy a GeForce 210 but got doubts wether it would be able to run Team Fortress 2 smoothly so I thought maybe the 610 would be a safer bet.. But does it need to be plugged into the PSU or is it powered through the PCI-E slot?

Generally, if it plugs directly into the motherboard through a PCI Express slot it gets the power through there. Some graphics cards that require more power directly connect to the power but this one doesn't, so you're set.

geforce gt 610 cards take power from the pcie slot. they don't require extra pcie power connector. all you need to do is plug it into the pcie x16 slot.
however, for gaming, you should get an actively cooled card (with cooling fan) instead of passively cooled card (no cooling fan). gaming stresses the card to require better cooling.
for gaming, and if you have budget, a radeon hd 7750 1gb gddr5 card would be better choice.

610 uses about 29watts of power so doesn't need an extra power cable as PCI-E slot will supply 75 watts.

To be honest, its a piece of crap, if you need a low powered card with decent gaming perform, get an ATI 7750 GDDR5, no extra power needed, if psu is 350watts or better.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I know it's a joke for a graphics card, but I only intend it to run Team Fortress 2, a rather light game. Should I get a more power hungry card I'd need to replace my PSU, which is problematic since my motherboard is a weird HP Compaq model that seems to be lacking the proper connections for a modern PSU. Oh the headache.
