Hey guys, as the title says, I was wondering if my motherboard could run an AMD Radeon R9 280x. My system specs are:
Processor: Intel Core i7 3770 (3.40GHz)
RAM: 8GB
Motherboard: Foxconn 2ADA
Current Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 7500 series.
Thanks in advance!

You motherboard is "compatible" if it has the right pcie slot, that's it.

Before you even think about a new gpu you are going to need a new power supply.
The question is not whether your MB is compatible, but rather, "Is your Power Supply compatible?"

That MB has a PCI express 2.0 slot. That will work just fine for a R9 280x.

Check and make sure that your power supply can support the power requirements of the new card. I don't remember exactly but something in the 500 to 600 watt range as a minimum is required. The exact model you purchase can vary, and the manufacturer will list that information somewhere on their info page. PC Partpicker can also be helpful in figuring that out.

I checked my power supply, and it says that it can only support 250W. Also, I took a peek on that website, and noticed that my MB is not listed in the compatible MBs for the R9 280x (the one I checked was the ASUS R9280x, dunno if that matters).
