Is the gtx 1050 ti good for gaming?

I don't care about 1440p gaming just want to know if I could get 1080p high settings for games like GTA 5, and watchdogs dogs with an i5 6500

The 1050 ti will run gta v on high, although i doubt you could max EVERYTHING out but you'll have no problems with the high preset.

As for watch dogs 2 (which i assume is what you were referring to) i believe you can get highish settings (maybe some things on medium?) and run at mid 5X to 60 fps no problem. You'd probably get a playable fps with higher settings if you don't mind playing in the 30-40 fps range.


It's a great value GPU but it will have it's limitations in the long term (as do all gpus anyway), for anything out right now and most of everything release in 2017 and most of 2018 though you'll be well served by the 1050 ti for 1080p gaming.
