I am planning on getting a core i5 6600k for my first build ever this week and the only thing that i am still unsure about is how to install this damn cooler on an lga 1151 socket. I am literally confident about everything else but this because i have heard some people having problems with it not going in right or that it's to tight or the braket wont fit, etc. So:

Is the hyper 212 evo worth the hassle of installing and is it very hard to install?

Solution
Not hard but can be a little annoying. There is an X shaped bracket that goes over the block with a hole in the center for a peg. Have to balance the X bracket with the peg in the hole in the block. Very hard to do with the computer standing upright. Also the spring screws like to slide in and out along the bracket so lining them up to be screwed in will be a little difficult. Aside from that it's a very straight forward cooler to install.

I have an i7 6700k, hyper 212 evo, MSI Krait Z170A.
It's not hard to install, actually - pretty easy.
Watch some videos, if you're not sure (and follow instructions in user manual).

I post because I was "very" frustrated trying to install this cooler. Finally...after youtubes and google, I went to the "owners manual" and from the picture provided saw that I needed to install that x bracket 90 Degrees from what I had been trying to do. That way the little setting pin ((which I dont even see the need for, but its there)) fits into its corresponding indent in the x bracket and the bracket just fell into place as easy as everyone wants it to. I think there are some videos out there that show the orientation of the x bracket incorrectly, or, my eyes were crossed when I watch. I do love it when I find out what MY MISTAKE was. Good luck. How could a Monster like this cooler not be best?
