Is the i5 4460 good for gaming?

I am renovating my pc and need to know if this i5 chip is good for my gaming rig. Can i overclock? I have a cooler master AERO.

Specs:
GPU=2GB Gainward GTX 750 Nvidia GDDR5
Mobo=Asus Z97-P Intel

i5 is a very good chip for gaming. better pair it with a more powerful Graphic card.

Yes. it will. You can play the game decently at medium settings.

No, you can't overclock the i5 4460 by it's frequency. You might be able to gain a few Mhz by overclocking the fsb but that overclocks the whole system and not just the cpu.

i5 4460K however could be overclocked. because they have unlocked core multipliers.

Is their a way i can lock turbo boost on? And what about the fan is it good for anything else?

An additional fan would not be needed since this CPU could not be overclocked. Stock fan and Heat sink would do the job well enough.

Other than the fsb increase option, there is no way to overclock a locked Intel processor. AMD should have been much much easier to overclock.

An additional fan is not going to hurt. But I doubt it will find any porous in this rig.
