I was wondering if the i5 4670k is a good comination with the GTX 770. I will be running games like BF4, Arma 2, Arma 3, Dayz Standalone and Crysis 3 on Ultra.

The above response from LightningStriker is true, but I'd just like to mention something you should be aware of.

Only purchase the "k" edition CPU if your motherboard allows overclocking, and you plan on overclocking. Otherwise save your money and purchase the "i5-4670" (notice there is no "k" at the end.)

The "k" edition is purely for overclocking, hence has an unlocked multiplier. You can overclock if your motherboard has a Z87 or Z97 chipset (which are 4th generation and 5th generation respectively.) If you don't plan on overclocking or your motherboard cannot overclock, it's effectively money wasted on a "k" edition.

Otherwise, the i5-4670 and the GTX 770 should be able to hand everything you through at it throw at it at full/maximum graphical setting.

All the best. :)

The motherboard I am planning on buying is a Z87 and does support 4th Gen Intel CPU's. But I am not planning on overclocking, but I will still buy the K edition because buying i5-4670 will only save me £3 which is nothing! However in the future I will maybe overclock once I know how to. Thanks Anyway!

That's a good combo. I hope you got it. I got a 2gb 770 late last year and it rocks but now I've got a 4k screen and wish I'd bought the 4gig one.

Like Obnoxious said, you should overclock! I've had a 2500k running at 4.8 for over 2 years and it was like 1 mouse click on the bios of my asrock mobo on "one click overclocking". Too easy. OK, I did try a few slower clocks first but then the 4.8ghz one booted fine and I never changed it, except for when Crysis 2 was acting weird. The only time - everything else runs fine. You need a decent cooler though - I've got a cheap corsair h60 water cooler and it's perfect. Air cooling is fine so long as the cooler is known to do the job.
