Since I'm struggling to find an RTX to solve the stability problems of my GPU accelerated workflow, I think I could mitigate them using only CPU, but upgadring it. Since I've been working with the i7 7800X for a couple of years, is the i9-10940X the best option?? May Intel release a new X serie chipset soon?
Thanks in advance!!

So the most advanced chipset will no longer be made for the x299, wont they? This upgrade should worth and last a couple of years more, so its the moment to think about even changing the mobo. What would you do? Stick to the x299 and upgrade the cpu and gpu (when its possible), or change the mobo to fit a newer chipset?

For video editing, Adobe Suite, davinci resolve, C4d,...

Many thanks in advance!!

If your mainboard supports 109XX series, get whichever one is priced best with at least 10 cores...(10900X runs about $529 currently, 10920X 12-core runs $600, etc..)
Since there will be no better CPU for this socket, does it worth getting the i9 10980xe so I wont feel like I could have gone further? Would this workstation (i9 10980xe + rtx3060/3080) last as a high end video station for some years?

Many thanks!
