Is the Intel Atom Processor Good For Gaming?

Solution
For what it is, the Bay Trail generation Atom CPU is pretty impressive especially compared to the previous Clover Trail generation Atom CPU. However, expecting a high level of performance from a CPU that is designed for very low power consumption and is targeted at tablets and netbooks is asking for far too much.

Bay Trail generation Atom CPU have TDPs of between 2w and 2.2w depending on which model you are looking at. If the Atom CPU is capable of running BF4 at ultra setting (especially with the integrated graphics core) at 1366x768, the seriously all other chip makers should simply abandon making ARM processors and APUs for tablets and netbooks since Intel would have overwhelming performance domination. Wow, just wow. You can find the Atom in an Acer Netbook, that in itself shows that it will not run BF4, not even with the best motherboard available.

Solution
Atom processor is only for doing simple things like surfing the web, listening to songs etc. If you really want to play battlefield 4 without lagging intel core i7 is the best. But still if you want to run it,run it on razer game booster or overclock your pc

Definitely not. While it is usable for some light gaming (TF2, Minecraft w/ Optifine installed, and older games), it's not at all a gaming processor. I have the Intel Atom bay Trail Z3740 (Base clock 1.33GHz, Booost clock 1.86 GHz) in my Asus Transformer Book T100, and although good for the price, it's not at all something that you should build a PC with. If you're looking for a cheap processor, look for some used i5s or even i7s on sites like Ebay or at your local hardware store.
